A frustrated wife who shared a picture of how her husband leaves his wet towel after a shower has been comforted after plenty of people came forward to say their partner does exactly the same.
The woman, from Australia, posted a photo on Facebook showing the towel rack in the bathroom, with her towel neatly draped over one end and her husband’s thrown on and bunched up on the other side.
She captioned the image: “Hubby’s wet towel hanging technique” and it went viral with some branding it the ‘most relatable post on social media of 2020’.
Others shared their own irritation at the annoying bathroom habit, saying their husbands, boyfriends and even their sons use the same method when it comes to hanging up towels.
One person commented to say: “My hubby does that with every single towel in the house. Hand towels, dish drying towels… you name it. It p***es me off.”
A second wrote: “My husband hangs washing like this”, while another asked: “Why are they all like this?”
But plenty of people said the woman should count herself lucky that the towel was making it to the drying rack at all, arguing their partners haven’t even mastered that skill yet, as reported by Daily Mail.
One replied: “Mine thinks laying it flat on the bed counts as hanging or drying… Never mind the wet patch on the blanket and bed. I’m forever hanging towels up.”
Another added: “At least he hung it… As soon as the towel is off my partner’s body, it hits the floor wherever he stands.”
One suggested making them learn the hard way, writing: “I would leave it and if he complains that his towel stinks after a day and it won’t dry then I would call it as it is.”
Another jokingly pleaded: “Can mums of boys please ensure your sons are taught basic stuff like this. Please for the love of all… It’s up to us to stop this madness for our future daughters.”
But some seized the opportunity to gloat about their housebroken partners, as someone else added: “I think I’m one of the lucky ones. Mine came well trained, folds it in half and hangs it up nicely, puts the bathmat up and even puts the toilet seat and lid down.”
